Destiny in the Arctic
 In November Garnet Campbell and Micah Borosevich tour remote communities in North West Territories with a multi-media presentation called "Dream Caller". Red Ant in association with Next Generation Workshops continue to develop media resources for communities facing tough youth problems such as drug and alchohol abuse, school bullying, and teen suicide. The weather was cold but the peoples hospitality was warm, and it was a real treat to see a very beautiful part of Canada that not too many people will have the opportunity to visit. Health Education Officials and parents in those communities are very proactive with bringing life giving messages messages to teens in isolated communities.  The November tour was a huge success and will no doubt lead to future media intiatives focused on developing new opportunities for young people in the north.  |
