Export Your Donation Contributed by: Admin | Views::427
Red Ant Digital Creativity partners with Export Your Donations to provide cash to charity organizations helping the impoverished in Uganda by providing housing for orphaned children.
Its becoming quite common in the US to donate used boats , cars, RV's to a charity. The donation not only helps the charity but provides a tax write off equal to the appraised value of that item.
Peter Versteeg of Vancouver, BC came up with an even better option for most U.S. donors. He found he could provide a much higher value for the donated item when it was exported and sold in the more lucrative Canadian market.
Many generous donors have donated cars, boats and other valuable items which have been sold on the Ebay auctions for only a fraction of the real value.
These quick sales have only benefited the non-profit organizations and not the donor, but we are changing that!
As we pick up the donated car or boat, free of charge , and take it the extra mile to a market that pays up to 5 times the price, we fulfill our promise to all the donors by giving them the real value of their donation.
( see examples )
In our 12000 sq. feet warehouse , our mechanics and carpenters alike will go the extra mile reconditioning and rebuilding , so we can sell these donated items for the highest possible price.

Film Push for South Delta Contributed by: Admin | Views::882
Red Ant helps launch a digital cinema initiative for young people in South Delta. DIGITAL CINEMA PUSH. Red Ant has wanted to connect with aspiring film makers since the business moved to South Delta last year,
The idea was to attract key people working in the industry to come and share their wisdom and storytelling skills with our local people here, and then launch our people into full time film schools, or directly into industry work.
The part time school is one way to bring people together to work on a project. Red Ant hopes to follow the classes with once a month forum to discuss film making and possible collaborations. The South Delta Arts Council is already discussing collaboration on an upcoming short film festival.
Fox Home Entertainment is releasing a new DVD series on the X-Files Mythology. Garnet operated camera for local director David Vandas as we interviewed some of the production crew from those early days of filming in Vancouver.
We had a very relaxed day as we listened to the crazy stories of how they produced some of those amazing shots.
People like Shirley Inget (Set Decorator), Rob Maier (Construction Coordinator) and Toby Lindala (FX- Makeup)
In 1992, Lindala was hired to simulate blood running unexpectedly from a girl's nose in the middle of a two-minute monologue for an obscure TV pilot called The X-Files.
"We did this prosthetic that went down this girl's forehead, down one side of her nose," Lindala recalled. "It was a little wacky, but it worked fine. Thank God."
Lindala was called back for more work that first year: Getting worms to burst out of three actors and a dog in the episode Ice -- "a neat little gag" -- and an otherworldly extraterrestrial pickled in a jar for the season-ending cliffhanger, The Erlenmeyer Flask.
Lindala worked by himself, handling effects and creating prosthetic moulds, and operating out of the basement of his Vancouver home. The next year, his workload doubled and he hired three assistants.
